I’ve been involved in creative endeavors throughout my entire life - first as a professional flutist and then as a writer, with photography as a life-long hobby. I started becoming seriously interested in photography after traveling to Tanzania in 2012. That was my first experience with wildlife photography, and I found that I loved it. I went back to Africa in 2015, but this time to South Africa. Of course, I had to have a decent camera/lenses for the wildlife photography! So I dug deep and purchased a Canon 7D Mark II and a Canon 100-400 lens. What an amazing difference having decent gear made! Now I was really hooked and started taking photo workshops from various pros in order to improve my skills.
I’m now the President of the PebbleCreek Camera Club and have been selling my photography work, leading workshops, & teaching photo skills for the past few years. I'm fortunate enough to have been selected as a semi-finalist in the Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards/Birds 2019, Finalist (Top 100) Nature's Best National Parks Photography 2019, Share the View 2020 Top 100 and Top 250, and NANPA Showcase 2021 Top 100 and Top 250. I’m looking forward to many years of photography - traveling, teaching, & selling my work. I hope you’ll join me in this adventure!
